Tuesday's practice was an exciting one. The first day of the Pittsburgh Steelers were in pads for the

2023 season. George Picken stole the show with another viral grab

maybe his best ever which is really saying something. But there was a somber moment rookie corner

Corey Trice Jr going down at the end of one team period with a non-contact injury.

It looked to be a knee.

As of this recording Tuesday night, we don't have word of the severity of the injury, but clearly

those facts don't make things sound too promising. It's a harsh reminder of the NFL. Trice crumpled to the ground almost as soon as the play began and then two players fell on top of him who were blocking each other, which only added insult to his obvious injury.

As trainers rushed over to Trice, the Steelers team period ended in practice it just continued. They moved to a scheduled special team session, Danny Smith's voice booming over an otherwise hushed field.

Some defensive players couldn't help but still watch Trice as he was attended to and they went over to him as soon as he was placed on the cart.

But everyone else basically had to leave. The show must go on even though a teammate might have just suffered a substantial injury.

Sunday in that practice Trice was making plays in coverage and overall looked impressive.

Now his future is unknown. The highs and lows of the NFL in just a couple of

snapshots. Now you just hope Pittsburgh does not have it happen to them again this summer.
