report to St Vincent College in Laitrobe for another edition of Steelers

training camp

on the hallowed grounds of Chuck Noel Field.

But 13 more days sit between now and report day

for the Steelers.

Hopefully that time flies by. As we draw closer and closer to

training camp though, my anticipation for that first day of practices and the

official start of football season continues to grow.

During training camp, there's always one or two names that emerges as the focal point of camp at St. Vincent College.

Last season, that players seem to be wide receiver George Pickens, who turned heads

daily with the amount of plays he made in individual in team sessions. He was then able to parlay that into a very strong rookie season for

the Steelers. Ahead of the 2023 version of training camp for Pittsburgh, I personally

think that player is going to be veteran

wide receiver Alan Robinson who was acquired via trade ahead of the 2023

NFL draft and has looked rather solid throughout the off season with the Steelers.

He's been working with quarterback Kenny Pickett to establish some rapport and is trying to

fully grasp the playbook ahead of training camp. So far the returns on

Robinson have been promising. Though he's entering his age 30 season and coming off

a rather poor two seasons overall with the Bears and Rams, there's still

a Pro Bowl caliber receiver in there somewhere. He just needs to stay healthy. Entering camp, he's healthy. He's going to turn heads
