Welcome to the terrible take a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind. I'm Alex Kazora.

I'll use today's terrible take to expand on something I wrote Sunday evening for the site.

While the Steelers roster overall looks stronger than a season ago and definitely much different,

it could use one or two more tweaks prior to camp. I'd argue the team should sign

veteran running back Malcolm Brown a burly number three type of runner that fits

the prototype of the Steelers position they typically look for. They like their runners

especially that third stringer to have size and special team's ability and Brown has

both. It'll add a different flavor of running back in that Pittsburgh room more size more experience just a more proven guy a yin to the yang of the exciting rookies like Alfonso Graham and Darius Higgins, along with more veteran type Anthony

McFarland Jr. who has a shot but is a very narrowly skilled type of player.

Brown would come in on a minimum one-year deal with little to no guarantee. a If it doesn't work, it doesn't work and nothing is really lost.

But it will serve as some protection in depth to a position where injuries can quickly mount

and make for the best camp competition possible.
