Welcome to the terrible take, a daily segment telling Steelers nation what's on our mind.

I'm Alex Gazora.

While it's not the most important camp battle when the Steelers report July 27th,

the fight for the team's third running back spot is going to be an

intense one. You have a veteran draft pick and Anthony McFarland with one last

chance to stick around. It's a little surprising he's made

it this far. There's Jason Huntley a 2022 practice squatter who has gotten far less

press. The two newcomers are perhaps the most interesting in rookies

Alfonso Graham and Darius Hagen's.

Graham, a try-out who caught a contract,

Hagen's a UDFA cut by the Colts in recently picked up by Pittsburgh.

Graham has earned some buzz during O TAs with Jerry Doolack comparing him to this year's

J-Lain Warren.

There are two different backs Graham is smaller and, but has special teams value in place with top effort,

which is partly how Warren made the club a year ago.

Higgins is a height-weight speed type with good tape, even if his competition was low at Virginia State.

For Pittsburgh there is no favorite or hardly even a front runner for that number three job.

There's always the possibility of Benny Snow returning or some other outsider being brought in.

Veteran Malcolm Brown makes sense to me.

But it'll be a fun battle to watch in camp, some young faces giving it their all to make the team.
