When it comes to the quarterback position in Pittsburgh, things appear to be rather set on the depth chart,

at least at starter and backup with Kenny Pickett and

Mitch Trebiski shaping up to be the top two quarterbacks on the roster in 2023.

Of course, the Steelers historically prefer to carry four into training camp at the position so that leaves two openings.

One of those will likely be filled via undrafted free agent at the end of the draft or as a late free agency pickup. But as for the

other position, what about Mason Rudolph? I know I know I know I'm sure everyone

listening to this probably scoffed and is debating turning this off.

But based on the report from the Tribune reviews Tim Ben's Thursday morning,

Rudolph is not closing the door on a potential return to Pittsburgh.

Face Value, it makes a great deal of sense for him in terms of stability and potential

opportunity.

While he wants a fair crack at playing time, which really won't come in Pittsburgh, at least from a starting perspective,

he knows the system overall and has plenty of experience in the black and gold,
