Aaron Rogers made his first public appearance of the offseason with an hour-plus long interview

on the Pat McAfee Show Wednesday.

The headline, no decision has been made and Rogers sure did not sound in a hurry to make a decision or

provide finality. Which makes me ask, why did he go on? Rogers has only made a handful of

appearances on McAfee's show over the last year. Last April, he went on to, in his words and

mind, dispel media narratives and reports.

He again joined the show in June to discuss signing with Pittsburgh, and he was there when

McAfee and crew came to training camp last summer. He had a reason to go on all three times,

so what was the reason and motivation for this one? It didn't seem like there was a clear and

cogent point. He didn't have an answer or really offer much clarity. Was the goal to make clear

he had no contract offer from Pittsburgh and intimate as he did? The ball is in the Steelers'

court. Of course, Rogers does not need a reason to appear on McAfee. It is the one sports interview

he will do, but he's had a mission and purpose in the past, a point for these relatively rare

powwows, and you got to wonder what the aim of this one was. Be sure to follow us at
