Welcome to the Terrible Take, a daily segment telling Steelers Nation what's on our mind.

I'm Alex Kizora. I know Sunday night almost wasn't. If Tyler Loop connects on a kick he makes

and his sleep, the Steelers are losers and their offseason would already be underway. But Sunday was,

it was a win. Pittsburgh did advance. In a winner-take-all game like that,

the outcome is all that matters, and that should be celebrated, at least for a moment.

I don't know if it has. Definitely not in and by the national media, one that continues to

specu-port about Mike Tomlin's future and barely even discuss the Steelers

win or a wild card matchup against the Houston Texans. To all the insiders out there, there will

be plenty of time to blither about Tomlin's future. They become fixated on its potential move to

television, which, while not impossible, isn't founded by any evidence

or credible report. It seems to be a contained ecosystem of one insider's talking about it,

so I, the other insider, must mention it as well. Pittsburgh won. They captured the division

for the first time since 2020. It was a thrilling game of a thrilling and fun season.

Now, of course, there are problems and concerns of which we have and will continue to talk

about throughout the rest of the week.

But it's okay to take a moment and bask in the glory.

Winning us hard.

This year was tough.

The Steelers overcame.

There's a lot more to do. I wrote Monday the season officially begins today in the quest to get over the playoff hump.

But I'm not focused on Tomlin's future, the offseason, or the draft. I'm focused on the weekend.

There will be ample time for the rest.
