I'm Ross McCorkle. Last week six of us here at Steelers Depot put together our all-time teams.

We set up a snake draft and were

tasked with building a full 26 man roster of starters including kicker, punner, long snapper, and a return specialist. The first two picks were Ben

Rothschildsberger and Terry Bradshaw, no big surprise there given the drop-off

after the top two quarterbacks.

I had the third pick and had to make the first non-quarterback choice and to many people

surprise I chose cornerback Rod Woodson.

I took some flack and that's okay. I understand people wanting

Joe Green in that slot, but to me Woodson is the single best corner or really defensive

back in general since he finished his career at safety of all time.

Just this morning, Marcus Mosher of the 33rd team released his list of the best

corners of all time and he had Woodson at the number two spot behind Dion Sanders.

Why do most people shoe in primetime as the number one over

Woodson? Woodson played 17 seasons to Sanders 14 so his stats are going to be a little

higher naturally but he has 71 interceptions to Sanders' 53,

53, he has 12 return for a touchdown to Sanders 9.

He has 20 force fumbles to Sanders 10.

He has over double the total tackles that Sanders had, and he was capable

of sacking and had way more sacks than Dion Sanders.

Woodson didn't have a weakness and seamlessly made the transition to safety and continued to

collect accolades at that position late in his career.
