Feinberg, the Hollywood Reporter's chief TV critic. Dan, how are you? It's the end of an era.

I'm very excited about this end of this era. It makes me feel sad that apparently strike was an era, but mostly it makes me happy that,

as you say, after six months, after 118 days in the sag after a part of the strike.

And 148 from the Writers Guild.

Hollywood is on the brink of back to business.

I don't know if we are fully back to business, but thankfully, the strikes are over,

and we can see to the other side, and that is a great thing indeed.

Absolutely.

So obviously lots to get to this week. So we're going to save

our strike talk for, well, you guessed it, an upcoming segment, actually two upcoming segments. Before

we get into all that, we're going to start where we usually do with headlines.

Number one. Leading off, yes, Chef. FX's The Bear has officially been renewed for a third season on Hulu.

The Emmy-nominated series will return in 2024.

I would say about 98% of the reactions I saw to that renewal were, wait, it hadn't been renewed already.

This was not a particularly surprising renewal, but sure, yay, excellent. People love the bear. It's a great show. Of course it's going to be back. What are we, what are we even talking? What are we doing here, darn it? It's a good headline, Dan. And of course, it allows me to say, yes, chef. I am all there for it and we're all happy it's renewed. But the industry has changed, but the industry has not changed so much that shows like the bear aren't going to be back.

But good on it. Speaking of changes,

Paramounts Chris McCarthy continues to make changes at Showtime. This time he has opted to cancel

the political docu series The Circus after eight seasons, though it seems to be like there's

an election coming up next year

that having something like the circus would be potentially really useful for. So we'll see how that
