We don't know where it came from.

But today we'll be talking all about a character

who initially entered the story as a trembling coward at Castle Black but has grown to be one of the story's

unlikely heroes. Give it up for everyone's favourite bookworm, it's Samwell Tarley.

In Feast we Journey south with Sam, to Bravoos and then Old Town on a mission to study at the Citadel

and eventually replace Maestro as the Maister at the wall. So how did Sam's backstory as a mistreated

son of Randall Tali shape his character? What will Sam learn at the citadel and how will

he get along with his fellows? And what about those fellow

novices? What do they want? And how will Sam protect Gilly and the baby given the danger surrounding

Old Town? Yeah, there's you're on in the
