1:45.2	On August 21, 1977, when Michelle was only 11 years old, her step-grandfather, Norman Reese,
1:53.2	shot and killed her mother, Diane.
1:56.2	It's said that Norman had caught Diane out late with a man and believed she had turned to prostitution, so he shot her.
2:03.2	He would later say in court that prostitution was, quote, a fate worse than death, end quote.
2:10.2	He was convicted of menacing and first-degree manslaughter and sentenced to five years in prison.
