Nova Scotia's darkest days. On January 3rd of 2017, Afghanistan War veteran Lionel Desmond bought a semi-automatic rifle,

dressed himself in camo, and snuck through the woods to his family's home.

Inside the home, he shot his mother, his wife, and his 10-year-old

daughter before turning the gun on himself. The factors that led to this horrific

end and the red flags that were missed or ignored along the way were the topic of a public

inquiry that now seven years after the killings and four years after the hearings

begin has just concluded. In this episode, a sort of eclipse in

storytelling coverage and case analysis will occur as co-host of the

Sunday night's show series Adam Rogers served as the deceased Lionel Desmond's legal representative in the inquiry.
