My name's Andrew. Thanks for joining me. Tonight, I'll be continuing The Story Girl by

L. M. Montgomery. Chapter 13, an old proverb with a new meaning. And chapter 14, the forbidden fruit.

In the previous chapters, the story girl had subjected herself to many varieties of penance during

the day, feeling terrible that Sarah Ray had in fact gotten ill during the night of the

Magic Lantern Show.

It was later found, though, that Sarah Ray only had a cold,

not the measles, much to everyone's relief. Later on, Aunt Janet had left town for a wedding

for a week, leaving the children to run the house with Felicity in charge.

During dinner preparations that night, the Story Girl recited the tragic tale of Rachel Ward.
