Since he took office, President Trump has wasted no time making sweeping policy changes to the federal government, immigration, health, and more.

And he's relied on this

lever of presidential power in particular to make it happen. Today I will sign a series of

historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of America

and the revolution of common sense. That was President Trump during his inauguration speech.

These executive orders include terminating diversity, equity, and inclusion programs within the

federal government, freezing the U.S. refugee admissions program, pausing U.S. foreign aid to

allied countries, among dozens of others, and we're hearing from you

about how you're being affected by some of these orders. My sister is a federal employee and had previously

worked from home two days a week to care for our parents who both have Parkinson's disease, and she can no

longer do that. I am a subcontractor on federal grants, and due to the executive order last week, pausing federal

grants, I'm uncertain if I'm going to be getting timely payments on one of my subcontracts,

and I intended those payments to go towards closing costs on a house I was purchasing

that was handicapped accessible for my parents to come stay and give my sister some respite

from time to time.
