Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu alhamdulillah wa salatu wa sallam wa ala Rasulillah wa ala aleyhi wa s-sahbihi wa men wa l-hamd.

We are continuing in our stories of the Prophet and we are now doing the Prophet Adam alaihi s-salam.

And in our last lecture we had done the blowing of the ruh into Adam alaihi s-salam.

Now today we're going to move on from that and talk about the next aspect that we know from our tradition.

And that is Allah's speech to Adam.

And we're going to elaborate a little bit about this concept of Allah's speech to Adam.

And Adam alaihi s-salam learning the speech and learning al-Lama Adam al-Asma'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a'a.

So we learned from the Hadith in the Mustadrak of Al-Hakim

and also in the Sunnah of Atimidi and the Sahih of Ibn Hibban.

That the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said when the ruh was blown into Adam it reached his head.

And it came down and it came to his nostrils.

And it tickled his nostrils and so he sneezed.

And so Adam alaihi s-salam sneezed.

And without having heard anything, without anybody teaching him anything at this stage,

he fitratan, that is his inner instinct, his inner nature, he uttered alhamdulillah.

This is a very deep and profound and symbolic point here.

And that is that Adam alaihi s-salam was created, the ruh was created, wanting to praise Allah.

Where did Adam get this knowledge from to say alhamdulillah?

Where did the belief even that there is a God?

And the fact that that God should be praised, where did it come from?

It is something that was ingrained in the ruh itself.
