This afternoon in my talk, I want to return a little bit and amplify something we talked about this morning,

just the nature of sin in the spousal meaning of the body and the redemption of the body,

of the vocations and the spousal meaning of the body.

We might use the word celibacy for the kingdom of God and marriage.

And I will be throwing in occasionally and then towards the end some more observations

As I said this morning, one of the fundamental tenets of the theology of the body, if not the tenet,

is that the body expresses the person. Dr. Grabowski reiterated that in his lecture and his talk earlier

today. The body has meaning. And so the conjugal union is more than sexuality, but it's

an expression of love. In John Paul's words,

the body is therefore a sort of, he uses the word, a primordial sacrament. If you remember,

a sacrament is a visible reality that bears invisible meaning, that conveys invisible meaning.
