I had wondered after the Super Bowl ended, you know, what are we going to be talking about now on the sports reporters as a lead story?

And sports never disappoints.

On Sunday afternoon, right here in my own backyard,

Juan Howard, in a game against Michigan, against Wisconsin,

decided that an argument wasn't enough.

He needed to reach across and smack the face of an assistant coach.

He has now been suspended for five games or the rest of the season. It sounds worse when you say

the rest of the season. When you realize it's just five games, there are some people who say,

hey, something like that should get a coach fired. Others say he should at least miss the postseason tournaments.

Others say, well, the other coach shouldn't have put a hand on him.

This is a sort of case for our times.

And I'm curious where you guys come down on how you felt the punishment met the crime.

He got what he deserved, Mitch.

And by the way, the sanction against Guard is in my mind.

I watched the game.

I watched the whole thing.

And then I watched the replay and then I watched another.
