Bob Ryan has a day off today, but we got plenty to talk about in the worlds of football,

both pro and college and baseball.

It's a start with a big NFL weekend that's coming up,

and a game, once again again a marquee game on

on Sunday night probably that all eyes are on and that is once again Kansas City playing

Baltimore once again Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson once again talking about which

quarterback is really the future of the NFL except except Casey escaped with their first week win,

and Baltimore had a thriller of a game and is now 0-1. Mike, some of your thoughts on this game.

You know, Lamar Jackson, Mitch, from the time he got drafted, and then the game he showed when he got to the pros

has been such a compelling figure in good ways and bad ways.

And it was amazing the other night listening to Steve Young talk about how they still

need to get him to work on refining his, especially his short passing ability.

But you know who I was thinking about watching him and them lose, but you can't take your eyes

off him. And a couple of runs the other night were unbelievable is this. I wonder if he's going

to turn out to be yonest someday in the sense that he's a human highlight film

people are now starting to doubt whether he can ever win at all and that someday they might but
