I'm Mitch Album of the Detroit Free Press, and we're glad to have you joining us here on the

Sports Reporters podcast, a day late, dollar short, but that's what you get for Labor Day

Weekend. That's all right, because lots to absorb and lots to look forward to. I'm going to

begin with college football, which began in earnest over the weekend.

And the one thing I will say for college football, there's no preseason to it.

So you just dive in.

And when you get like a Notre Dame Florida State game, it's like you go from zero to 60 very, very quickly.

And that was a whale of a game on a lot of different levels.

Notre Dame is a top 10 ranked team.

Florida State gave them all that you could handle.

They had a wonderful story, which we'll talk about with McKenzie Milton,

coming back after not playing for three years.

And in the end, Notre Dame wins at 41 to 38.

But, man, you know, there's no, it's a little bit like the NFL that way.

You just come out and just get going in college football.

It was a great game.

And Notre Dame was way ahead.
