And we of the Sports Reporters podcast, our great friend Mitch Album, is in Haiti.

And we are always happy to welcome our friend Robert Wool.

And I, gentlemen, I'm going to say something that you don't ordinarily get a chance to say

in this business. And that is this. We have a circumstance, a monumental occurrence in a

realm of a certain very important sports entity in America.

It is my belief, guys, and you're certainly free to disagree, that this is the first day of the rest of the NCAA's life.

Now that it has been dragged kicking and screaming and incompetently into a new world in which

some of the athletes, a very limited number,

by the way, are going to qualify for this, athletes are going to be able to derive some

financial income from their image and likeness, quote unquote.

This is a big day because this is hardly the end of the story.

There are countless unknowns attached to this,

and it is a gargantuan philosophical shift in the history of an 1110-year-old organization.

It's going to be a mess, Bob, because what they have created now is a situation where

they're standing up and saying, a chicken every pot but just not every pot in fact
