Welcome to the Monday edition of the Sports Reporters podcast, and we have much to discuss.

We will get to, and believe me, we're leaving a lot of time for the college football discussion.

But we start with the NFL today, and we start with a game that was billed as a potential Super Bowl game between the

Saints and the Chiefs uh the Chiefs end up winning 32 to 29 Drew Breeze came back and played

okay that's even with three touchdown pass I'll say okay, the way he's throwing the ball around the

first half did not look very breezy and to me. And Patrick Mahomes, as usual, made just enough

plays to win the game. And guys, let me just say one thing. I actually thought this game might not

have ended up as close as it did, if not for a bonehead punt return that ended up being a safety against the Kansas City Chiefs.

I thought it was closer than you're kind of making it sound, only because I gave Breeze a half just to start to get back to football. There's no quarterback, let alone one who's

coming off breaking every single rib that he has, who's going to just get back out there and start

slinging it and be perfect. And it clearly wasn't. He was 0 and 6 to start the game. I guess it's the

first time in his career. He's ever been more than 0 for 4 to start a game. He threw an

interception that was bad. And, you know, they were already down 14 to nothing. But the fact

is, Mike and Bob, a lot of teams that get down 14 to nothing to Kansas City, the game's over.

This was a game. You know, they kept it a game. You never felt that they were going to win.

And when Cam Jordan got thrown out of the game, it was really dumb because the very next play, they kept it a game. You never felt that they were going to win. And when Cam Jordan
