God, I recognize these voices.

I'm trying to put the names with the faces.

I know I've talked sports with them.

Ryan, I've talked sports with you for more of my life than I've not talked sports with you.

That's, I came to that

realization the other day and uh this is the Thursday edition of the sports

reporters podcast obviously the continuation of our long running show on ESPN and guys

you know there have been weeks over the past several weeks where we didn't feel like

we had a lot to talk about.

We got a lot to talk about today.

Starting with this idea for a beginning of a baseball season that has been floated in, I think

we'll all agree, greater detail than we have seen before. Once it was Arizona, then it was

Arizona and Florida, then they threw Texas into the mix. Now they're trying to come up with a plan

for a July or August 1st-ish start where they would reconfigure the divisions to cut down on

travel. There would basically be an east division a

Midwest division a West division the Yankees and Mets would be in the same the Astros

Dodgers angels would be in the same and again I'm not endorsing this it would be fun if it

actually happened when it's supposed to be happened but this to me gives me the first real sense that we might actually

have baseball this summer. One of the advantages of baseball season being as long as it is,

is it gives you a really big canvas from which to invent a whole lot of new plans. Right. Right.
