I'm Mike Lupica, MLB.com and the New York Daily News, and welcome to the Monday edition

of the sports reporters.

And it's always fun because we had Super Sunday yesterday.

Oh, no, not a football game, not the World Series, not the NBA Finals, not the Stanley Cup Finals.

We had something about sports that we actually wanted to watch on television.

And guys, I just speak for myself, watching the last dance, the first two episodes last night was like eating ice cream.

And a pal of mine used to be my producer at ESPN on my Sunday morning show, Pizza

Cone, he said the thing he loved the most last night, Ryan, and I'll tee you up on the 63-point game was,

yes, the 90s Michael was far more more compelling but 80 michael 80s michael was a lot more

fun and boy did that shine through last night well today is the anniversary of said 63 point game

april 20th 1986 and let's just put it in. And they did put it a little bit in context.

But didn't spell it out right.

They kind of backed into the lead of it will.

This was game two over three of a best of five.

In game one on Thursday night, 17th of April, Michael Jordan scored 49 points.

And it was a piggy 40.
