And welcome to the Thursday edition of the Sports Reporters podcast.

We come to you twice a week now.

We put the band back together.

And we still like talking to each other and about sports when there aren't any sports. And today, March 26th,

was supposed to have been opening day in baseball. And guys, whether baseball is your favorite sport, which it's mine, I know it's Bobby's,

or not.

It's irrelevant.

Opening day was one of those pageants of American life, not just sports, that was meaningful.

And it may still be a generational thing but the first you know all

used to be just Cincinnati now all these games are going to start all that stuff and

today was supposed to be opening day and obviously there is an opening day we have

no idea when we're going to have baseball again and well I'll just tee you guys up

this way by Rob Manfred the commissioner spoke to Scott Van Pelt yesterday, and he said, one of the things

he said was this.

And I'll read it because it's, it's, you know, there's nothing much to disagree with.

The one thing I know for sure is baseball will be back.
