that has been guiding many of us through this pandemic and shining light on the truth of what COVID does to people

and the strength of what it means to be resilient in the midst of loss.

You may be familiar with Amanda's story of how she lost her husband to COVID in the height of the pandemic.

When we were all home watching movies and cooking for Kaccia bread, Amanda was suffering, deeply suffering.

In March 2020, right at the beginning of the pandemic, Amanda, her husband Nick Cordero and their son Elvis

were planning to move from New York to LA and very soon after their move Nick got sick.

But they thought it was pneumonia but it was actually COVID. He went to the hospital and died three months later in the ICU.

Amanda during that time, my God, she was on Instagram every single day just dancing and singing and just praying and bringing people into her dialogue

and her conversation praying for Nick, praying for Nick, dancing and singing for Nick.

And I was so deeply moved by her and struck by her bravery and struck by her devotion and struck by her commitment and her willingness to stand up to politicians who were minimizing this pandemic and just what a brave soul she is.

And wanting to share how real this pandemic is, she bravely chronicles her journey and she talks about all of it in her memoir, Live Your Life, my story of loving and losing Nick Cordero.
