Black people created all genres of music in the US and despite the global influence and unabashed imitation of our Black American cultural art forms, we've profited the least from their reach and much propaganda persists: Black music is NOT the "soundtrack to America" nor did it arise from a blend of styles from a "multi-ethnic" population and when you say every genre has "Black roots", that's just an unnecessarily genteel way of saying that we created all genres of music in this country.
