been a long time since I've done a solo cast and you know what I thought it was

time. Thought it was time

thought it was time to bring one back and you know there's

me more in the off season

uh... which

starts in like a week which is crazy I don't know if I've done this I've said this on the

pod but I basically have compared this season to like a remarkably short flight. There are many of those in Texas that you can take

to go from city to city. Obviously Texas being so huge it facilitates these even though sometimes it might feel

unnecessary.

My parents live in deep south Texas, place called Harlanjan.

You can fly there to Austin or even to San Antonio. In fact,

sometimes to get from Harlanjin to Austin you have to stop in San Antonio, which is remarkably

stupid. But the season felt like that flight from Harlanj into San Antonio where you hit the high

altitude, the max altitude, Captain comes on the mic and says, hey we've hit our top altitude Jill and then 19 seconds later he comes out all right

let's gonna go ahead and put your trade tables up we're gonna start our descent now

that's what it felt like there was like a four day period where I felt like I really got into the

groove and and felt like I was in you know mid-season form of enjoying baseball every day and, you know, kind of had that

summer feeling, but it was fleeting and it sucks. It really suck I'm glad we got something you know there was obviously

quite a long period of time where I thought we'd get nothing I was I was pretty down on the idea that we'd get any sort of season and I was

ecstatic to be wrong on that. I really was because obviously I'm just happy we got

some baseball and then there were parts within this season that even that felt
