Today we had the honor and privilege of interviewing Dan Allender on our podcast. He's an author

of, I think, two dozen books. And let me tell you, some of those books have made an impact

on us personally, but also we've sent hundreds of our clients

to read some of his books just because he has such a way with words, and he's theologically

really deep. I just love conversations with Dan. Yes. And in this episode, Dr. Allender talks about how our marriage issues, the conflicts we get

into that are seemingly ridiculous or, as Adam called them, dumb in this episode, really

are deep rooted.

And he really helps us understand, even if we think they're not that deep.

He helps us understand that they are.

Dr. Allender has a Ph.D. in counseling psychology.

And he founded the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, as well as the Allender Center,

which really helps people with their mental health and also helps equip mental health professionals.

And really interestingly, in this episode, he really does give us a glimpse at a mature marriage.

And that's not something I think that we get often enough being young married and working with young

marites, but getting a glimpse at what does a sanctified

marriage look like? And it gives such a glimpse of the joy that we could have if we work
