Our topic this afternoon,

I remember correctly,

just happiness according to the classical tradition,

the classical understanding of happiness.

And in order to get a better idea or put into relief what we're going to discuss this afternoon,

it might be good just to start by just asking ourselves quickly,

maybe getting a few answers from the audience, just what?

What do, let's see, our contemporaries,

what do we maybe think happiness is?

Or at least in contemporary culture,

what is presented as happiness?

Either the happy person or the object of the pursuit of happiness, the Americans tend to pay a little attention to and and set up as an ideal but what today for us and

for our people to be what's generally understood to be happiness or the constituted happiness

is the happy person

it's just an emotion that brings joy
