| 0:00.0 | Hey, it's your friend Mel, and welcome to the Mel Robbins podcast. |
| 0:07.6 | So I've decided that you and I have been at this podcast thing for long enough that we can |
| 0:14.5 | cover a topic that everybody talks about, everybody wants advice on, but for some reason, |
| 0:21.6 | we're not supposed to talk about it. I don't know why this is so controversial, but it is, |
| 0:26.8 | and today we're going to go there. What's the topic? Weight loss. We're talking about weight loss, |
| 0:33.2 | and the reason why I want to talk about this is because we've all been there. We've all been at |
| 0:39.4 | that point in our lives where we're frustrated with how our clothes feel, where we feel like shit, |
| 0:43.9 | where everything we're trying is not actually working, or the things that we've been doing forever, |

| 1:19.5 | the thigh master, where you're supposed to like squeeze it in and out, and then as I got older, |
| 1:24.2 | I've tried everything. Step class, spin class, jazz or size, which I think we now call Zumba. |
| 1:29.9 | I've gone to classes in person, online. I've done Pilates on a Met, on a Reformer. I've tried |
| 1:35.5 | everything, and don't even get me started with the number of diets. Anybody remember the cabbage soup |
| 1:41.8 | diet? Why on earth was that a thing? Eat for your blood type. I've done that, low fat, high fat, |
| 1:48.2 | no carbs, complex cards. No wonder we are all yo-yo dieting. I mean, simply listing all of this |
| 1:54.0 | off makes me start to feel like a human yo-yo. And as I've been thinking about this topic and |
| 2:00.2 | researching it, it occurred to me. If this is such an enormous problem for almost all of us, |
