And today, my co-host is New York Mets reliever Trevor May. A lot to cover with him.

But truth be told, we recorded the episode on Tuesday, about 24 hours before the Mets owner,

Stephen Cohn, took the Twitterverse and torched his team,

particularly the hitting contingent.

So we weren't able to cover that.

Even though it was a huge story, we had already taped the conversation.

Now, we did talk a lot about the Mets owner, because you'll remember it was less than two weeks ago when the Mets had kind of started their slide.

They weren't playing well.

Didn't give him a rah-rah speech, but he went up to a lot of the players, just kind of talk to him and said everything's going to be just fine.

So we did cover that conversation because it's such a rarity that an owner, particularly in baseball, comes inside of the clubhouse.

That's almost taboo, even though might own the team, might see somebody on the field,

might seem at a charity event, but inside the clubhouse, that is just, that's strange.

So we talked to Trevor about that.

And also, you might have noticed that Monday night in San Francisco, Trevor May did not pitch well.

Might have been his worst outing in the entire season. He still came on and was the co-host with me

less than 12 hours later. And so we covered why it was so important for him to join forces that

day and to talk about it. We talked to him about how he gets through those

struggles, particularly being a reliever where you might be called upon the next day

24 hours after a crappy outing. We also talked to him about Field of Dreams, the game
