All right, welcome in, it's the MMQB podcast with Albert Breyer.

Normally this time of year things would be quiet and you would stand a reason given that everything

that's going on in our country it'd be really quiet from an NFL standpoint. We actually have plenty to get to this week in the

podcast. We had a great guest coming up for you who's going to be able to hit on a couple of

really relevant topics for us and give us a ton of expertise on those. We of course get to your

questions in the mailbag but we'll kick things off with the takeaway like

takeaways like we always do and we'll start here my first takeaway is that the NFL's trial balloon on incentivizing diversity hires didn't go, I think, the way they expected it and you know the feedback that I got from

different guys across the league when it came to this and when the news broke

and it was Jim Trotter from NFL Network that broke the news on Friday afternoon was very, very

mixed. And just in case you haven't heard it, the proposal that was on the table and this was worked

through the NFL, the NFL's diversity committee

which is chaired by Steelers owner Art Rooney the Fritz Pollard Alliance

which is headed up by former Cardinals general manager Rod Graves.

They came up with this plan to incentivize diversity hires.

And basically, there are different levels at which teams can benefit here.

If you hire a minority general manager,

your third round pick the year after moves up 10 spots.
