It was December 2nd, 2022, deep in the woods of rural Georgia, near the small town of

Riceboro, not far from Savannah.

It was a bitterly cold day.

The wind was racing through the dead trees.

The first weekend in December was a big hunting weekend.

A lot of hunters in those woods at the height of deer season.

The hunting club active in those woods was a dog hunting club.

They used dogs to herd the deer so they could be shot.

But this day, the hunting dogs were acting off in those woods and

fields. Something was wrong with the dogs. They weren't responding to hunter's calls and

recalls. After one hunter had shot a book, the dogs were hanging around the book's body, but they

weren't coming back to the hunter.

The dogs were not only interested in the dead deer,

but close by, it seems like they had found something else.

One of the hunters went over to see what had gotten the dogs in such a state

where they weren't even responding to their calls.

And what he found just off the path in those woods was quite simply horrifying.

A human torso.

No legs, one arm, no head.

A female torso.

The hunters returned to town and called the authorities, and police arrived to those woods at around 5 p.m. December 2nd.
