Stoveleg Media, Igniting Conversation On May 7th of 1980, two young girls were

walking by themselves in Upper Arlington, one of the nicest cities in all of the

Columbus metropolitan area. They had arrived at their bus stop and had a little

walk before they made it home on that Wednesday afternoon. A young man passed

them twice on a red, 10-speed bike as the girls walked up a hill. Eventually,

the two split up and one of them decided to cut through a yard on Riverside

Drive, not far from her destination. But while attempting to make this shortcut,

she was grabbed from behind and taken away to a secluded spot. She attempted

to scream but when doing so was choked to unconsciousness and beaten

harshly in the face. And then when it seemed like it was going to be an absolute

nightmare, everything stopped. Who or what prevented this salt from going

further? Did someone step in? Was the young man on the red bike the attacker? And

could this attack have been linked to one of the most prominent cold cases in

all of Columbus area history? We'll dive into that in a whole lot more on season
