All right, welcome back to The Real Deal. I am so excited after quite the hiatus to be back on LSU Gold today.

introduce my staff and I'm really, this is a good thing, right? Because I feel like for the last

few months, we've been talking so much about how we're enhancing the NILSU program and the

department. And here they are in the flesh. We made it. My staff. We're here. So I just was excited to take time today to come on and introduce these two. I have Mary Claire Logue and Katie Darby here. And this is my team. In addition to the many students we have who help get us through the day in and day out, but the podcast space isn't big enough to introduce all of them yet. So I'm going to start with Mary Claire and Katie. So welcome to the Real Deal set. I'm glad y'all are here and I'm glad that y'all can start hosting some of these podcasts in the future now. So get ready, listeners. You're going to hear more from them. But I guess Mary Claire will start with you. Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got to NILU.

Excited to be here. I joined, I guess, back in late

January, early February. I'm Mary Claire Logue, the assistant director of NIL here at LSU, is my

official title. And basically helping Taylor oversee all things NIL, whether that's from education or personal branding.

But my background really is, I'm from Mississippi, Madison, Mississippi area, and went to college at TCU,

where I studied business marketing and fashion merchandising. So had a really big branding and marketing

background. I like to say I'm a really big creative. So that space is something I love to dabble in.

But decided right after college went straight to law school at Loyola in New Orleans. And so

during my second year of law school there, NIL guidance passed and was like, oh my gosh, this is

literally my two worlds colliding, literally marketing and legal. And so had to pursue this

opportunity in the NIL space. And so right after law school practiced as an insurance

defense attorney for a little bit and then was able to connect with you and that brought me here and I've loved it ever since. And here we are. So everyone who emails me and asks if I have an attorney on my staff. That's me. Here she is. Got you covered. Got one. Also proof to show that consistency is key. I bothered you until I got this job and it worked out well. It did work out well. I wouldn't say you were a bother, but it worked out well.
