Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to another episode of the Real Deal podcast.

I'm your host, Jamar Lincoln, Assistant Director of NIL, and we got us another special

guest with us today.

She's a senior for the LSU women's tennis team.

Prior to LSU and coming to the United States in 2018, she earned a bronze medal at the Central

American Games.

She competed in three junior grand slams with appearances at the Junior French Open, the U.S. Open,

and Wimbledon. She also earned a singles

title at the ITFW15 and Cancun in 2022. At LSU in the 2025 season, she earned seven

singles wins and nine doubles victories. She was also a key contributor for LSU women's tennis

team's first ever elite eight appearance from Guatemala City, Guadalamala. Ladies and gentlemen, Mrs. Gabby Rivera. Gabby, how are we doing? What an intro. I know. I was about to cry. I'm kidding. How's everything going with you today? Everything good. I'm super excited for being here. You guys are awesome. So yeah, we're

definitely glad to had you. So from Guatemala City, Guatemala. I mean, that's leaps and bounds,

like so far away from Baton Rouge. What was life like for you growing up, growing up in Guatemala?

I mean, way different than here. That's for sure. I mean, I grew up, like, I'm from a city, like Guatemala City, but it's not, like, a city

like you guys are used to, of course.

But, yeah, like, of course, like, different challenges, different culture.

We hug a lot in Guatemala.

That was kind of hard when I came here.

Like, I was trying to hug everyone.

Everyone looking at me like, what are you hugging, right?
