Today I’m going to share some important information related to chronic kidney disease.
10% of cases of end-stage renal disease are related to polycystic kidney disease. Polycystic kidney disease has mainly been thought of as a genetic problem, and until fairly recently, many people thought you couldn’t do much about genetic diseases. But it turns out that you can.
Some of the top warning signs of polycystic kidney disease are increased risk of infection, urinary bleeding, reduced function of the kidneys, and high blood pressure.
A recent study done on mice found that the ketogenic diet halted and reversed polycystic kidney disease in the mice. They also found that time-restricted eating created a similar effect.
Another study found that the keto diet may reduce the risk of kidney stones as long as the person is also on a low-oxalate diet. Along with keto and consuming low-oxalate foods, consuming enough water may help reduce the risk of kidney stones.
In the study on polycystic kidney disease, they found that the cysts absorb glucose and are dependent on glucose. Glucose can contribute to other kidney issues as well.
A low-carb diet and fasting are both great ways to get your body to start making ketones. You can also take ketones.
The best natural remedies for kidney problems:
• Curcumin
• Resveratrol
• EGCG (in green tea)
• Quercetin
• Berberine
What I would do for chronic kidney disease:
1. Take the above natural remedies
2. Go on a low-oxalate keto diet
3. Do intermittent fasting

0:00.0 | Today, I want to share some really important information related to chronic kidney disease. |
0:06.0 | Chronic kidney disease is mainly made up by several types of problems with the kidney. |
0:10.8 | One would be just chronic kidney disease in general, which is usually or mostly caused |
0:16.8 | from diabetes, okay? And then you have another type of kidney disease called polycystic kidney |
0:24.2 | disease. I'm going to be talking about that. And then you have another problem with the kidney, |
0:28.7 | which relates to kidney stones. We'll mention that as well. So if you have any of these problems, |
0:34.6 | this video is for you and you definitely want to watch it because I want to share some new |
0:39.7 | information, new research on this topic. When someone has end stage renal disease, 10% of the time |
0:47.2 | is going to be related to this polycystic kidney disease. And that's a situation where you have all |
0:53.0 | these fluid filled sacs around the kidney. It kind of takes over and then the more cyst you have, |
0:59.2 | the less ability for you to filter. And then now you can't filter protein so that starts going |
1:05.9 | up in the blood and you start getting fluid retention. And you get a lot of problems. And |
1:10.6 | polycystic kidney disease is mainly thought of as a genetic problem. And until recently, like 2019, |
1:18.7 | thought was you really can't do anything about genetic diseases. But you actually can. And this |
1:25.0 | is actually quite fascinating because if someone has these cysts that are overwhelming the kidney, |
1:31.6 | pretty much they're just going to have to wait until they get on dialysis or they get a kidney transplant. |
1:37.6 | There just wasn't any non-toxic solution. And this is the problem with the kidney and the liver, |
1:43.9 | especially drugs tend to add more toxicity to these organs. And so there's too many side effects. |
1:51.8 | So with the polycystic kidney disease, you have increased risk of infection. You have urinary |
1:58.3 | bleeding. You have reduced the function of the kidney, which the kidney is a filter and it filters |
2:02.8 | out the blood. And the person usually has high blood pressure. So in 2019, there was a study done |
2:08.7 | found that the ketogenic diet actually halted and reversed polycystic kidney disease in mice. |
