And today I'm joined by Diego Munoz, our tech reporter, who's fresh off writing the Tech Quarterly this week.

It's great to have you on, as always.

And it was a busy week in tech.

And I want to break it down with the best person to discuss all these issues.

Now, let's start off with one article you and your colleague Ben wrote for the quarterly edition,

which I loved about how the AI fight is approaching the campaign trail.

You guys termed the pro-AI people, the AI boomers, and anti-AI, the skeptics, the

Dumers. I love that breakdown. Tell me what we should be looking out for in 2026 with millions

upon millions of dollars in the line with AI. So you're our intrepid campaigns reporter, and you're very familiar with how crypto took

over a lot of the campaign financing last year. It seems like AI could be crypto 2.0.

There's this mega, this super PAC called Leading the Future, led by people from the

Andrewson Horowitz Venture Capital Group and Open AI, and they plan on spending $100 million

in the midterms. So the division that you were talking about,

the Dumers and the Boomers, unfortunately, we were not the ones that created that definition.

It comes from the industry itself and from the boomers and doomers themselves.

So while leading the future is spending all this money and trying to replicate the

crypto playbook from last year, they will have a different challenge, which is they have a lot of people spending a lot of money against them, which are the doomers.
