I was quite drawn to overseas territories today. I was thinking we might talk about Barbados and also,

well, crikey, I nearly committed a faux par there. Also Northern Ireland, which doesn't quite fit into the category of overseas territory.

God forbid to start off with a mild controversy.

But, I mean, it's over the sea from where I am currently sitting.

So there you go.

I was just meaning it in a very literal definition.

So if you have a particular investment or interest in those two developing stories,

then today's the day, I think, for you to get involved,

help the rest of us come to a slightly better understanding of things. I begin, though, a bit, kind of where we left off yesterday,

with the psychology of people that we find baffling. I think with the coronavirus, there are two problems that the rest of us have

when we look at people who I think would probably be best as...

Well, let's be kind and say eccentric, to start with.

Things that are best described as eccentric.

And of course, they see themselves as brave crusaders

who are swimming valiantly against the tidal wave of misinformation and depression,

perpetrated by scientists and doctors and, you know, everybody with actual qualification.

So, but we'll stick with eccentric. There are two problems with eccentricies, and I can't solve the first one.

I don't think. The first one is the measurable damage that they do

to the rest of the population. So the fewer people wear masks, the fewer people get vaccinated,

the more likely we are to have a lockdown if you're feeling that that is the top priority

and also the more likely we are to have more infections if you're feeling that that's the top
