In the last few months, there's been what the French press is calling a wave of coordinated attacks on French prisons.

There's been gunfire, there's been improvised explosive devices, I believe, arson, Molotovs, right?

And it's by this group calling themselves

Rights of French Prisoners, DDPF. Let's just go back to the start. Tell us about how

this started, what they actually did. And then we can maybe talk about who we think they are.

Okay, so to put it simply, it all begun the 13 of April.

And in the, in one week, they've attacked 15 prisons and a house of prison guardians. Those 15 attacks are the one that we know that,

the one that are claimed with the attacks DDPF.

There's some more attacks, but they're not claimed for now.

So what happened was, firstly, in the south of France, vehicles, car, private cars being put on fire in front of the prison.

And then those attacks have been coordinated in one week.

They're two by day in one week, to put it generally.

What kind of attacks are we seeing?

How serious is this?

Did it start heavy or did it kind of work its way up?

It worked its way up.

It began with arson, arson for a car.
