Turn to John 3 and Matthew 7.

John chapter 3 and Matthew 7.

We're going to continue our series happiness redefined and I just want to tell you this is going to be a little different message.

When I got to this beatitude and of course I'm going to read it to you because I told you to go to John 3 in Matthew 7 and the Beatitudes are in Matthew 5.

So I'm just going to read it to you. But when I read this Beatitude this week, immediately I knew what the Holy Spirit wanted me to preach this week

again, immediately.

And he just began to lay it out for me.

So let me read this the attitude and then talk to you about it.

Then we're going to get to John chapter 3, all right? Matthew 5 verse 8 says,

blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the pure in heart. Now remember

the word bless means happy if you're coming into this series and haven't been here

for a while that's why we call it happiness

redefine happy are the pure in heart for they shall see God

and let me read you what this Greek word for pure means.

It means free from any impure mixture,

totally and completely without any spot or blemish, completely blameless, completely innocent, one who has been entirely

cleansed from sin. Now when I read that this week that definition that's when I knew

what the Holy Spirit wanted me to share on. Completely innocent, spotless, blameless, pure in heart.

Here was my first thought.

How in the world could I ever get there?

And then immediately I knew.
