hello and welcome everybody out of the routine a little bit listen.

Welcome. Okay you all welcome to the podcast this is week three of Psalms of Assent and you just got the two of us today.

It's a no guest episode. I'm so excited. I read all of these Psalms this morning and last night and I mean here's what we already know like

the Psalms of a cent these are these songs for the journey right yes there are

Amanda helped me 15 Psalms of a cent and these were sung by the people just many of these songs were

written by David but not all of them yeah and so they were written to be sung as

songs yes in that journey to Jerusalem for various feasts including

Passover various feasts and festivals that's right here's the thing even as I was

reading these in preparation for this episode I was just thinking about like I wish I could hear the melodies.

I know and I kind of look forward to getting to sing these songs and glory like I look forward to like some of these are like complaints or

lemons and so like I don't know that we'll have anything to complain or lament about

in glory but there are some real sweet parts of these songs that like I could very much see us.

Yeah, you know what we need? We need Ellie Holcomb on the task. We need her to just,

if she could just give us these for the road real quick real quick

go ahead and put these to music because she is gifted in that way I was actually

listening to her all of my Days album on the way here this morning to record this
