0:30.0	Amanda, the Psalms of Assent is, well, there's a lot to say here our subtitle is songs for the journey
0:36.2	Why is it called songs for the journey? I think so many reasons but the first one is because the Psalms, so Psalms 120 through 134, what we'll be reading
0:47.3	over the next three weeks, and these were songs that were sung and recited on pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
0:57.0	So and we'll talk more about that as we start to dig in, but these were songs sung at least annually by the Jewish people as they made three different
1:09.1	annual pilgrimages to Jerusalem for the festivals that the Lord had ordained for them in the Old
1:15.3	Testament and said here are three specific times and ways I want you to remember me
1:21.6	and to remember what I have done and what I am doing.
1:25.7	And so these were songs for the journey.
1:29.2	Like I have certain songs that I love to listen to when I'm driving.
1:33.4	Yeah. And so these are kind of like driving songs.
1:35.6	It's like a road trip playlist, which is like an overly casual way to say it,
1:38.9	but it's not wrong.
1:40.6	But in that, it's even cooler, even even more special because these aren't just
1:45.2	like hits that we love yeah they are and they are telling the story of what God
1:51.4	is done yes in their family history which is pretty
