Some people who say the system is a problem might be focused on money and politics or gerrymandering.

I wrote this book because I fundamentally believe that the biggest solvable problem is our system of party primaries.

When we looked at this in 2022, what we found was that 83% of congressional districts are so safe that the dominant party's primary

is really the only election of consequence and nationally only about 8% of eligible voters cast

ballots in those primaries.

So what that means is you have 8% of Americans electing 83% of our Congress.
