Okay, so welcome. Welcome everybody. It's nice to see you all. It's nice to be teaching here with my good friends and you'll hear from each of us but welcome to this exploration of

the power of refuge and I'm delighted to be offering this with my friends

partly because this is something that's touched each of us in some kind of way

and maybe it's an important but often unspoken way

in which the refuge and that which we orient our lives towards has such a big impact on us.

So I'm very happy to be here and I'm happy you all are here as well.

Wonderful, it's nice to see folks coming on, I see my interplay. It's kind of

kind of interest and curiosity and brightness in your faces and

Maybe that's just because that's what I'm feeling also.

One thing maybe that's coming to mind is there can be a lot of associations

with a word like refuge. Is it religious, is it I don't know. And so I hope as we often do in

these courses will expand our understanding by talking around many different facets of a topic.

That's one thing I love about this teaching team, the four of us,

is that we bring these different perspectives.
