I want you to turn your Bibles to two passages of scripture,

Jeremiah 32 and Jonah 3.

And I'm going to share a message with you called The Power of Prayer.

And I know we had a series on that this summer, which was a fantastic series,

while I was on vacation.

We had some guys preach the Power of prayer and did a great job.

But let me tell you how this message got stirred up in me,

and this is the message I was going to share two weeks ago.

When I went to the inauguration, you know, a few weeks ago ago and I spoke at the faith inaugural ball and what

I said was that we should be praying.

That is our responsibility. And yes, part of what's happened in this country is because we did not get involved and we haven't let our voice be heard

But the majority of what has happened in this country that's bad has been because the church

has not prayed and if we really believe that prayer makes a difference we would

pray more we pray for our country we pray for. We'd pray for our country, we'd pray for our family, we

pray for our friends. And I want to also address something because we've got some

people that are concerned about it and I understand that, completely understand but I am serving on an

advisory a faith advisory council for president Trump I was asked to serve on this

council back when he was a candidate in mayor June I was asked to serve on this council back when he was a candidate in May or June.

I was also asked, thank you.

I was asked to give council to some of the other candidates at running for president

and some people have concerns because I'm serving this council. Please hear my
