All right, so before we start this series, let's get a quick refresher on what are the Maqomat anyway, and why is it recommended to use them when reciting the Quran?

Well, here's a refresher from Qari Ibrahim himself from our Maqamat series last year.

Maqamat, actually, it's Arabic word and it's plural of maqam.

Yeah.

And Maqamat has two definitions, linguistic maqam and, let us say, scientific maqam.

Right.

Linguistically, the maqam in Arabic language, maqam means your state, your haal, your mood.
