If you were at City Field Day, you did not get to see Sean Manaya pitch a perfect game.

I apologize for that. I may have talked about it on the air after he got through five.

But you did get to see for the second time in three days the New York Mets win via a walk-off

home run. They did it on Monday with Francisco Alvarez. They do it today with

Jesse Winker. Jesse Winker for the first time in his New York

Met career goes deep and the Mets win a very, very

important game.

This is going to sound like a broken record

and I think the Yankees are going to have this as well.

As we get even deeper into this pennant race, right now it is late August.

Pretty soon it's going to be even later August.

And then pretty soon it's going to be early September.

And then it's going to be mid-September.

There's going to be a lot of phrases like that's the biggest win of the year.

And it's natural.

Of course you're going to say that because we're getting later into the season.

The games feel bigger.

There are fewer and fewer and fewer of them left.

And you look at the standings and you look at the math and for the Yankees it's the

AL East, for the Mets it's the third wild card spot.

But yeah, games are damn important.

There's a big swing when you don't win a game.
