Summary

American Democracy is not promised to us and, with all the forces working against it, saving it will take a level of work most people aren’t ready for. The PoliticsGirl Podcast is here to give people a reason to care and a reason to fight. Our goal is to inspire. To instill in people a true understanding of what this country COULD be, if the right people were fighting for it, and what it WILL be if they don’t. It’s a political podcast yes, but more than that, it’s a podcast about America’s potential, where one passionate, and slightly mouthy, immigrant attempts to motivate the country to become what it promised to be but, so far, has yet to become. 0:04.7	And although I'm not against hanging around in my kitchen doing political tirades, and
0:07.9	we'll continue to do so, I want to talk about bigger stuff and dive into issues in a way
0:11.6	that will inspire you to care about them and allow you to go out in the world and talk
0:14.9	to others from a place of knowledge and understanding.
0:17.5	So I'm doing a podcast.
0:18.5	We're going to talk democracy soup to nuts in a way that will not only help us save it,
0:22.6	but hopefully set us on a course to making it better.
0:24.6	We'll live interviews with thought leaders and just leader leaders, and we'll talk about
0:27.7	the best way to get our very young country, which is currently in the full froze of a teenage
0:31.2	meltdown, on a better path.
0:32.9	We have so much potential, but we're squandering it, and we have to get back on track.
0:36.5	I know we've been told our whole lives not to talk about politics or religion, but when
0:39.8	you think about it, what are the two things that cause the most problems in the world?
0:43.7	Politics and religion?
0:44.7	Yeah, maybe we should have been talking about these things way more.
0:47.9	So that's what we're going to do.
0:48.9	The only people who don't want us understanding this stuff are the people who benefit from
0:52.2	us not paying attention.
0:53.5	And they have had more than enough unsupervised time to screw things up.
0:56.7	Thank you very much.
0:57.7	The more we talk, the more we understand.
