I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

You know, I am so happy to be back on this channel and for those of you that

don't know what happened on November 5th it was a Wednesday we were hacked by an email and stupidly and I'll blame this on myself, stupidly I clicked on an email that

I didn't recognize and next thing I know, my entire computer was infiltrated. And luckily,

I have a program called Tech to Us. They were able to respond to it immediately, but it was already too late.

And the hackers had infiltrated our YouTube account and posted two videos on the Police Off the Cuff YouTube account that resulted in YouTube taking us off the air, saying we violated community standards.

Now, we spent the next part of almost two weeks trying to prove that we were the real people

behind the police off the cuff podcast. And the frustrations behind this were very, very, very real because

I've had this podcast for over five years. It's like my baby, you know, and it's like a member

of the family. And I felt so disconnected, not just because I didn't have access to you guys, but I didn't have access to my

channel. I didn't have access to do the things that I love to do to report the great true

crime stories that we would report on this channel. And I didn't have access to my buddies,

Phil Grimaldi and Mike Geary, two co-hosts that are back.

And I see some of you guys in the chat, Lizzie Herzberg, a great American hero.

And she's saying, Bill, so grateful to have you back.

No, Lizzie, I'm so grateful that you came back because I almost felt like a fish out of water

not having my podcast. And when you do

this for a while, many of your subscribers, the people that listen, the people that watch,

they become like family to you. And I really felt this way. So let me just tell you how it occurred. It occurred through an email,

which they tell you never to click on anything unless you know where it's from. And I should take
